Alex has some old wood handled ones that have scribbling all over the handles. Perhaps he'll let you use one. NOT.

I got an extra axe. I'll bring it.

Wilderness permit is just a sign in, no $.

alex - i think a sled would be great going in, but coming out you could be a lot slower since it is slightly downhill so you can ski out. and we'll take a little 600 vt short cut down at sulfur works, which would be no fun towing a sled.

if we can throw a minikeg on your sled, then you should do it. :D

Rice in little white bags - not sure - but I'll look for them - sounds like a fast cooking rice.

Based on the short-cut out, I'll bail on the sled, but I wasn't planning on loading it down - just like to share the load with mother earth.

I'm throwing in the ski crampons but not shure they will fit.

Sounds like meeting at my place at 6:30 am.

I’m the last house on the left at the end of a private paved lane off Burbank Ave. Burbank lines up with the Southwest Community Park on Hearn. Look for a short 4x4 at the head of the lane (on the east side) with one of those rural number signs for the fire dept with “1830”.

Hey Andrew. I like that shot of you blasting past the Vulcan Eye. So many pics... We'll have to get together and look at them all.

I had a great time guys. Some nice photos too Jerry. I'll have to post some of the few I took.

Andrew is tiny next to the Vulcan. It puts that slope into perspective.

I looked at the remote weather station data and it said that mid-morning on Sunday it reported temp in the mid-teens with gusts to upper 50's.

Great photos of everyone. That was a windlip below the eye on the knoll before it dropped off to the parking lot.
